Cardiff based Welsh illustrator currently studying at Cardiff School of Art and Design.
My practice involves a range of outlets but usually stems from my surroundings. I use my own photographs and videos from my loved experience as the muse of my work, the fuel for my creative flow. These are then translated into drawings which later become larger outcomes.
My practice lives in an auto-ethnographical realm in which I explore and reflect on my lived experience in which viewers can find an area to resonate with. I use textile and stitch to emulate themes of place, identity, and home. Amidst the rush in our ever-busying lives my work serves as a reminder that there is always to time to slow down.
current project
Abode, is an ode to my space but also to those that have come before, an homage to origins of stitch, the works of Virginia Woolf and the curation of Orion Carloto. Using imagery and experiences from my everyday routines, I’d like to remind the viewer, it’s important to enjoy life’s quiet pleasures.
